Maintaining Balance During Transition

You may wonder how the four elements – Physical, Intellectual, Spiritual and Emotional – relate to WorkLife transition.

From ancient days, these classical elements have been accepted as the cornerstone of philosophy and science – the building blocks of the universe.

To maintain wellness and quality of life, these four components need to be in balance and monitored daily. Whatever you do during this time of transition, don’t be tempted to neglect any area of your life. Keep your mind sharp, your body fit, your spiritual life dynamic and your emotions stable as you journey toward your successful NEWORK®.

Although the following suggestions for maintaining balance are separated into four categories, each spills over into the other areas.

1. THE PHYSICAL – EARTH

The human body is made up of the same elements that occur naturally in the world around us. It’s easy to see why the physical is portrayed by the earth.

3. THE SPIRITUAL – FIRE
The spiritual element is characterized by the passion that drives one to action – intuition, conviction, and the expression of one’s will.

  • Dream and Daydream

4. THE EMOTIONAL – WATER
